Why do I need a new card?
The new card includes the prescription drug benefit group and memeber numbers that must be presented at your local pharmacy to receive the discount. Your old (and new) card is still valid at other participating local and national businesses; the prescription drug benefit is an additional value. Please dispose of your old card and use the new one.
How much will I save?
Discounts at businesses vary. Prescription drug discounts range from 10 to 60 percent at over 48,000 pharmacies nationwide.
Is there a charge?
No. The card and benefits are provided for all co-op members.
Where do I get lists of businesses and pharmacies that accept the card?
Pharmacies: www.locateproviders.com or call 1-800-800-7616.
Local Businesses: click here
National Businesses: click here
Does everyone in my family need a card?
No. An entire family can use one card.
How are the pharmacy discounts different from traditional prescription insurance?
This is not insurance; it is a pharmacy discount offer. The card provides immediate discounts at the pharmacy. Upon presenting your card, you will pay either the lower discounted price, the pharmacy's regular retail price or your insurance provider's price.
Can my Co-op Connections card be used in conjunction with my insurance?
No.
Will I always receive the lowest price?
Yes.
Can I find the discounted price of my prescriptions before going to the pharmacy?
Yes. If you know the name, strength and quantity of the medication, you can find the discounting price by visiting www.rxpricequotes.com.
How does my pharmacy join the network of providers? Who do they call with questions?
Call the help desk at 1-877-448-6182 or email at nominations@newbenefits.com.
