Maybe you’re a backyard inventor or you’ve figured out an unusual way to save energy at your place. If so, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for the best energy-saving ideas, and we want to share with our members and co-op members across Colorado. On a postcard or a single sheet of paper, send your energy-saving idea to Energy Saving Ideas, Mountain Parks Electric, Inc. P. O. Box 170, Granby, CO 80446Colorado Country Life, 5400 N. Washington Street, Denver, CO 80216 or email your idea to rknerr@mpei.com. Be sure to include your name, address, and phone number. Each household may only submit one entry. All entries must be received by December 31, 2006. In return for a few minutes of your time, you might win a $50 credit on your electric bill or one of these other great prizes. This contest is only open to member-owners of MPEI having an electric account in their name. Entries will be judged by the staff of MPEI for creativity and originality, without specific or practical technical analysis. The decision of the judges is final. By entering this contest, you agree to give MPEI the right to publish your idea in the magazine. Here are the prizes that you could win with your great idea. First Prize – A $50 credit on your electric bill. This check will be applied to your electric account. Second Prize – Ten compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) – A $30 value. Energy efficient; reduces energy; reduces costs. Third Prize – A $20 credit on your electric bill. This check will be applied to your electric account. Fourth Prize – A LED squeeze flashlight; never needs batteries; power comes from your grip. Deadline for entries: December 31, 2006.
