Casey & Rhonda Farrell, owners of Gambles in Granby, carry on the tradition of meeting the needs of the consumer. After losing their appliance and variety store to the crushing blows of a bulldozer in June of 2004, Casey & Rhonda started over again with a new look but old-fashioned customer service and friendly atmosphere. Gambles’ is located at 200 West Agate Avenue in Granby and offers products ranging from high tech washers and dryers, vacuums, small appliances, to the friendliest service that can only be found in rural communities. On a bigger scale, Casey even carries top-of-the-line appliances for the “gourmet kitchen” as he shows me the new Frigidaire freezer/refrigerator that has just arrived.
“We can’t go back to what we were before, but our message to our community is meeting the needs of our consumers. Local contractors continue to come to us for their appliance needs, as they did before when Gambles was a much larger facility,” says Casey. The store is a smaller place, but Casey & Rhonda’s hearts are in the right place for offering great customer service and meeting the needs of all their patrons. Casey is quick to add that Rhonda is the driving force of the business. “She’s the behind the scenes person who makes this all work. We are truly blessed for having such great patrons and for having a good staff that supports our way of doing business.”
Vickie and Marvin Woros stopped in Gambles this very day. Vickie was quick to say, “We always come here first because we know we’ll find what we need and if it’s not here, Casey will find it for us.”
Gambles is a Touchstone Energy Co-op Connections participating business offering 5% discount on purchases with the Co-op Connections card that our members are encouraged to use with local businesses. Casey agrees that the card is a positive connection to help the economy for local businesses.
So they next time you’re looking for a new appliance, stop by Gambles in Granby—you’ll be glad you did and you’ll make a friend forever! |
