A collection of books valued over $200 were donated to the Hot Sulphur Springs Library on June 9 th. This is the second time this library has received books from Mountain Parks Electric and Colorado Country Life, our statewide publication.
Lynn Shirley, branch librarian, was thrilled to have this new collection of fiction and non-fiction books that included a high altitude cookbook (with muffin recipes that would make any baker want to start baking), a book on digital photography, climbing the Canyonlands and more.
Although the smallest library in the Grand County district, a steady stream of patrons ranging in all ages were checking out the new books that arrived. Teens with younger brothers and sisters fresh out of school for the summer, were already in the library searching for books to read for the summer. The summer reading program is a great program for all visitors to our local libraries and Lynn was excited to see so many already taking an interest.
Stop by and visit one of our libraries during the summer—each library has its own distinctive appeal—but all will lead you to an adventure and a great reading experience. |
