Mountain Parks Electric plans to rebuild portions of the 55-plus year old overhead distribution lines in the Town of Kremmling in order to maintain safe, reliable service to our members in the future. Field design staking for this project will begin as early as the week of September 25.
The first phase of this project intended for 2007 construction is a 1.6 mile length of line basically running east to west through town along the existing route along Eagle Avenue and the alley between Eagle Avenue and Highway 40. This plan includes a short new length of line on the east side of town north to the existing line near 17 th Street and Central Avenue, to eliminate a safety clearance concern near 14 th Street and Eagle Avenue. A second phase will be planned in 2008 or later.
A letter to the property owners along both sides of the existing and proposed routes will be mailed seeking any concerns or other input on this project.
MPE wants to thank its members for their support and patience. If there are questions or concerns about this project, please call Jim Beck in the Engineering Department at 970-887-3378. |
