GRANBY, C.O. – Today, after two employees tested positive for COVID-19, Mountain Parks Electric (MPE) announced closure of its Granby office until Thursday, November 19. Customer service agents, line workers and all of MPE’s Granby employees will temporarily work remotely, to ensure essential services are still provided. This includes answering phone calls and restoring power outages.

The Granby office will be closed Monday, November 16 through Wednesday, November 18 while a professional cleaning crew disinfects it. Until then, new electric service connections will be placed on hold.

MPE’s consumers can still call (970) 887-3378 for assistance and manage their account electronically via MPE’s web site (mpei.com) or by downloading the SmartHub app.

This marks the third time since March that MPE has closed its Granby office for COVID-related reasons. Employees testing positive are quarantined. MPE works in coordination with Grand County Public Health to complete contact tracing. Grand County Public Health notifies those identified in contract tracing for potential exposure.

MPE adheres to the county and state public safety COVID regulations of wearing masks, social distancing and frequently washing hands, and encourages all of its consumer-members to do so.
